Why Ubuntu?
Ubuntu is an African word meaning ‘Humanity to others’, or ‘I am what I am because of who we all are’. This makes perfect sense when you consider that Ubuntu is a community developed operating system and is distributed as free and open source software.
The Ubuntu Operating System is a great alternative to other Linux Operating Systems, especially if you are looking for an alternative to the Windows suits.

I now have UBUNTU 9.10, but I ran out of broadband space on Wildblue.net when I d/l it, so I would like to get a CD WITH UBUNTU AS A BACKUP.
i CAN’T GET BACK ON WILDBLUE.NET HIGH SPEED TIL DECEMBER O1, 2009.
Hi Vince,
That’s never good. I know how you feel though when you hit the limit half way through the month ;(
Check out https://shipit.ubuntu.com and see whether you can get a free copy of the image on CD – the only thing is that you may have to wait a few weeks for delivery and by that time you will most likely have high speed connection back again.
