What Is VoIP
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) has been a piece of amazing technology that has grown from its infancy as a data communication medium to something that has become major competition to the landline telephone subscription market due to individuals and business looking to avoid expensive phone calls by sending the calls over the internet rather than over traditional telephone network infrastructure.
The principle of VoIP is simple and straightforward – every time a phone call is make using the service, the human voice is converted into a stream of data. This data ‘stream’ is routed over a broadband internet connection.

The great feature that VoIP has is that even if you are to call somebody that is not using a VoIP Service, the call will travel via the Internet/VoIP Network until such time that it is routed back onto the traditional telephone network and through to a convention phone.
